Bunion Free Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Can Bunion Free Corrector cure my bunion?
A. Bunion Free Corrector can relieve the pain caused by mild to moderate and severe bunions and will help to protect the bunion from the effects of shoes. However, it may prevent advancement of the bunion.

Q.What should I expect when I first wear Bunion Free Corrector?
A. If the correct size is chosen, most customers report that Bunion Free Corrector feels comfortable. It should not be too tight or loose in any place. It will apply gentle pressure, realigning the big toe. The hole in the toe is designed to help to prevent too much pressure building up. We recommend wearing it for a few hours at a time until you get used to it. If you want to wear Bunion Free Corrector while you are asleep you might prefer a slightly larger size. Wearing a smaller size during exercise often works well.

Q. Is Bunion Free Corrector machine-washable?
A. No. Bunion Free Corrector is made of very delicate fibers and carefully constructed in two layers in order to be effective. Although hand washing will extend its life considerably. Simply hand wash with a natural soap in cold water and allow to air dry. This can be done every day so that you can enjoy wearing a fresh Bunion Free Corrector in the morning and at night again before bed.

Q. Bunion Free Corrector looks too thin to be effective so I’m not sure if it will work for me?
A.The beauty of this is that it is scientifically designed to be as light weight as possible, while maintaining gentle pressure. It provides protection from rubbing and helps your big toe to realign so that it is not pushing the other toes. Although the material is effective you should still avoid wearing shoes that are too tight around the bunion.

Q.What if I find Bunion Free Corrector does not feel comfortable or it isn’t strong enough to support my more advanced bunion?
A.You should be able to tell immediately if the Bunion Free Corrector will be right for you, by trying the correct size. If your bunion is too advanced you will find the big toe may be too stiff to realign.

Q. Does Bunion Free Corrector aid in post-surgery recovery?
A.Yes, we have had great feedback from customers post-surgery who have used Bunion Free Corrector to help keep the big toe in place during recovery. Wearing it post-surgery can help to prevent the bunion from returning. If you are unsure, seek the advice of your doctor.

Q.How long will my Bunion Free Corrector last?
A.Like anything worn, normal daily wear and tear will obviously cause Bunion Free Corrector to deteriorate over time. The more you wear and wash it, the more it will suffer wear and tear. We find that it can last from 3 to 12 months, depending on how much it is worn and how carefully it is treated. Order two or more Bunion Free Corrector and save.

Q.My Bunion Free Corrector has loosened slightly after wearing and washing it a few times. Is this normal?
A. After wearing Bunion Free Corrector, the material will start to relax. In time it may feel looser but this will not compromise its effectiveness.

Q.Why do I feel pain when wearing Bunion Free Corrector?
A. If Bunion Free Corrector is too tight it can cause pain so be careful to be sure you have selected the correct size before wearing. Wear Bunion Free Corrector for shorter intervals initially so that your foot has time to adjust to the change in alignment. Gradually increase the time you wear it. Consider wearing the next size up while sleeping so that there is not too much pressure on your foot while you are not active. After exercising the next size up might be more comfortable if your feet swell.

About Bunions and perfect bunion shoes

Bunions can be very painful. These bumps on the sides of your big toe can cause a lot of discomfort for those who have them, to the point where shoes may often hurt too much to wear.

Bunions are caused by misalignment in your big toe. Rather than pointing straight, the big toe will start to angle itself towards the second toe, so much so that the big toe may overlap or go behind the toe next to it. This shift causes excess pressure in the joint of your big toe and pushes it outward, away from your foot, creating the trademark large, bony lump on the inside of your foot.

This joint at the base of your big toe carries a lot of your weight, so as bunions grow in size, they can become a constant and growing pain point. Unfortunately, it’s a condition that usually only gets worse with time. Luckily, there are plenty of bunion relief shoes that can ease discomfort while helping you look and feel great.

While bunions are painful, people can also become quite self-conscious of them, often opting for shoes that hide their bunions. Rather than opting for the best sandals for bunions or a roomy pair of sneakers, people often instead wear improper footwear that can cause even more pain. Especially in the summer months, you want to be able to feel comfortable and confident in your footwear.

Here are a few ways – along a few types of shoes and sandals that hide bunions – to help relieve your pain without having to go under the knife.

The Right Shoes and Sandals for Bunions

Narrow shoes or ones with pointy toes – like stilettos – are terrible for bunions. Heels, for example, force toes forward and make bunions worse. You want shoes and sandals that are spacious enough as to not put pressure on your bunions.

Our Bunion Collection Footwear

Q: My sandals are too wide, how can this help my bunions?

A:You should know that your bunion correction sandals don't need to be too tight as they will only aggravate the bunion condition. Bunion Correction sandals are meant to offer space for your bunions.

Q: My sandals are made of soft leather, they are not keeping my big toe straight enough! Can they cure my bunion?

A: The bunion correction sandals are made of soft Pu leather and they are meant to protect your bunion. If the materials of your shoes are too firm, they will only rub against your toes and cause you pain and redness. If your bunion is advanced, we highly recommend you to use one of our bunion sleeves.

Q:How can I get more support if I also suffer from plantar fasciitis?

A: Most of our sandals have arch support, but you may need extra support using our arch sleeve.
